Roma 1 – Torino 1: Points shared with visitors at the Stadio Olympico
On Sunday, Roma and Torino played out a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olympico. Roma were on the hunt for more points following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Sassuolo in their previous game. Roma are now in 7th place, with 27 points from 15 matches, while Torino sit in 9th, with 21 points from 15.
After an uneventful first half, Torino certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, when Karol Linetty gave them the lead, 55 minutes in. In the end though, their lead was short-lived, as Nemanja Matic equalised for Roma just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-1.
Substitutions for Roma included Stephan El Shaarawy, Nemanja Matic, Benjamin Tahirovic, Andrea Belotti and Paulo Dybala for Cristian Volpato, Mady Camara, Bryan Cristante, Tammy Abraham and Nicola Zalewski, respectively. Torino brought on Wilfried Stephane Singo, Ricardo Rodriguez, Ndary Adopo and Nemanja Radonjic, to replace Mergim Vojvoda, Alessandro Buongiorno, Aleksey Miranchuk and Antonio Sanabria.
There were bookings for Mady Camara, Paulo Dybala and Benjamin Tahirovic from Roma, and Alessandro Buongiorno and Valentino Lazaro, for Torino.
Torino and Roma will next play at home to Hellas Verona and Bologna respectively.
