Chelsea were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Salzburg on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea were hoping to get something from this game after losing 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb in their previous fixture. Salzburg, meanwhile, were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Chelsea are now in 4th place, with 1 point from 2 matches, while Salzburg sit in 3rd, with 2 points from 2.

Substitutions for Chelsea included Armando Broja, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Conor Gallagher, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic, Cesar Azpilicueta and Raheem Sterling, respectively. Salzburg brought on Lucas Gourna-Douath, Chukwubuike Adamu, Dijon Kameri and Sekou Koita, to replace Maurits Kjaergaard, Benjamin Sesko, Luka Sucic and Noah Okafor.

There were bookings for Reece James from Chelsea, and Chukwubuike Adamu, Strahinja Pavlovic, Andreas Ulmer and Nicolas Capaldo, for Salzburg.
