Milan 0-2 Chelsea: Blues dominate after Tomori sees red
Chelsea enjoyed an away victory against Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday. Milan were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 3-0 to Chelsea in their last match. Chelsea, meanwhile, were coming off the back of a 3-0 win against AC Milan. Milan are now in 4th place on the table and have 4 points while Chelsea sit in 1st with 7 points after 4 matches.
The Blues found the net first, thanks to a goal from Jorginho, 21 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made it 2-0 in the 34th minute, which saw the first half end 2-0. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 2-0 at full time.
Substitutions for Milan included Sergino Dest, Tommaso Pobega, Ante Rebic, Fode Toure and Divock Origi for Brahim Diaz, Ismael Bennacer, Olivier Giroud, Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao, respectively. Chelsea brought on Conor Gallagher, Cesar Azpilicueta, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Kai Havertz and Marc Cucurella, to replace Mason Mount, Reece James, Raheem Sterling, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ben Chilwell.
The referee booked Olivier Giroud, Matteo Gabbia, Rade Krunic, Tommaso Pobega, Sandro Tonali and Fode Toure from Milan and Fikayo Tomori went off with a red card, while Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling and Conor Gallagher also received a yellow.
