Wolfsburg 2-2 Gladbach: Thuram brace not enough for the visitors
On Saturday, Wolfsburg and Gladbach played out a 2-2 draw at the Volkswagen Arena. Wolfsburg were on the hunt for more points following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Augsburg in their previous game. Gladbach were looking to extend their winning run after a 5-2 victory against FC Köln. The Colts started the match strongly, with a goal from Marcus Thuram, 13 minutes in. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Yannick Gerhardt in the 43rd minute, brought Wolfsburg level. However, Gladbach found the back of the net thanks to another Marcus Thuram goal just before half-time, which saw the first half end 2-1.
The Wolves took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Omar Marmoush, 69 minutes in, to level the score at 2-2.
Substitutions for Wolfsburg included Omar Marmoush, Felix Nmecha, Kevin Paredes, Josuha Guilavogui and Jonas Wind for Lukas Nmecha, Mattias Svanberg, Patrick Wimmer, Maxence Lacroix and Jakub Kaminski, respectively. Gladbach brought on Nathan N`Goumou Minpole and Patrick Herrmann, to replace Alassane Plea and Lars Stindl.
There were bookings for Patrick Wimmer, Paulo Otavio and Maximilian Arnold from Wolfsburg, and Julian Weigl, Lars Stindl and Kouadio Kone, for Gladbach.
