Hertha 2-0 Cologne: Good start helps The Old Lady to comfortable home win
FC Köln fell to an away defeat at the hands of Hertha at the Olympiastadion. Both sides came from defeats in their previous league games. Hertha were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 2-1 to Stuttgart in their previous fixture while Cologne were beaten 2-1 in their previous match against Bayer Leverkusen. Hertha and Cologne currently occupy 15th and 13th spots in the table, with 14 points and 17 points respectively after 15 matches.
It was an impressive opening from Hertha, when Wilfried Kanga found the net, 9 minutes in, saw the first half 1-0.
The Old Lady started the second half with renewed vigour, when Marco Richter found the net on the 54 minute mark. The match ended with a 2-0 home victory.
