Bayern Munich 2-2 Stuttgart: The Reds held at the Allianz Arena

On Saturday, Bayern and Stuttgart played out a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. Bayern were aiming to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Union Berlin in their previous game. Stuttgart were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Bayern and Stuttgart currently occupy 1st and 13th spots in the table, with 12 points and 5 points respectively after 6 matches.

The first half of the match started favourably for Bayern, when Mathys Tel gave them the lead, at 36 minutes, finishing the first half 1-0.

Stuttgart took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Chris Fuhrich, 57 minutes in. However, each side looked hungry to win and The Reds then found the back of the net, 60 minutes in thanks to Jamal Musiala, taking the score to 2-1. In the end though, their lead was short-lived, as Sehrou Guirassy equalised for The Reds just before the final whistle, seing the match finish 2-2.

Substitutions for Bayern included Josip Stanisic, Leroy Sane, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Ryan Gravenberch and Sadio Mane for Noussair Mazraoui, Mathys Tel, Thomas Muller, Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala, respectively. Stuttgart brought on Chris Fuhrich, Juan Jose Perea, Lilian Egloff, Enzo Millot and Pascal Stenzel, to replace Tiago Tomas, Silas Wamangituka, Wataru Endo, Naouirou Ahamada and Konstantinos Mavropanos.

There were bookings for Matthijs De Ligt and Leroy Sane from Bayern, and Borna Sosa, Hiroki Ito, Naouirou Ahamada, Waldemar Anton and Atakan Karazor, for Stuttgart.

Bayern will next travel to Augsburg, while Stuttgart will face Eintracht Frankfurt at home.
