Argentinos Juniors banked all three points against the Lanús in a 4-0 victory on Friday, at Estadio Ciudad de Lanus. Lanús had been hopeful of continuing their good run after winning their previous two games against Talleres Córdoba away and San Lorenzo at home, by 1-0 and 2-0 respectively, while Argentinos had lost their previous match against River. Lanús and Argentinos currently occupy 26th and 7th spots in the league, with 20 points and 36 points respectively after 23 matches.

Argentinos started strongly in the first half, when Luciano Sanchez opened the rout, 40 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Gabriel Avalos made it 2-0 just before half-time to secure a 2-0 win.

Argentinos continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, with a goal from Franco Moyano, 68 minutes in. Argentinos then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Alan Rodriguez on the 74 minute mark to make it 4-0.

Substitutions for Lanús included Franco Orozco, Jose Sand, Mateo Sanabria, Facundo Perez and Ignacio Cechi for Brian Blando, Franco Troyansky, Lautaro Acosta, Luciano Boggio and Tomas Belmonte, respectively. Argentinos brought on Alan Rodriguez, Nicolas Reniero, Andres Roa, Thiago Nuss and Mariano Bittolo, to replace Federico Redondo Solari, Gaston Veron, Jose Maria Herrera, Javier Cabrera and Luciano Sanchez.
