Boca 0-3 Banfield: Home side shocked by first half blitz as Banfield continue good form

Boca on Saturday lost to Banfield on a home defeat at Alberto Jose Armando. Boca were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last match 2-1 to Unión Santa Fe. Banfield secured a point against Barracas Central in their previous match. As the table looks today, Boca are in 7th place in the table and have 9 points while Banfield sit in 3rd with 11 points after 6 matches.

Banfield started the match well, when Giuliano Galoppo opened the rout, 21 minutes in. Banfield looked to have the match under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Ramiro Enrique, 34 minutes in to establish a 2-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a 2nd effort from Ramiro Enrique at the 38 minute mark, finishing the first half 3-0. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Substitutions for Boca included Jorman Campuzano and Luca Daniel Langoni for Esteban Rolon and Luis Vazquez, repectively. Banfield brought on Luis Mago, Jesus Datolo, Gregorio Tanco, Matias Romero and Juan Manuel Cruz for Dylan Gissi, Agustin Urzi, Luciano Abecasis, Matias Gonzalez and Giuliano Galoppo.

There were bookings for Aaron Molinas, Gonzalo Sandez and Nicolas Orsini from Boca, and Alejandro Cabrera and Nicolas Domingo, for Banfield.

Boca will play away against San Lorenzo, while Banfield will face Unión Santa Fe at home.
