Red Bulls beated Montréal 1-0 on Thursday at Stade Saputo. MON are now in 2nd place, with 49 points from 39 matches, while Red Bulls sit in 3rd, with 47 points from 39.
Red Bulls started the match strongly, when Morgan gave them the lead just before half-time. The score at break remained 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.
Substitutions for MON included Kamara, Brault-Guillard, Miljevic, Kwizera and Toye for Torres, Corbo, Wanyama, Johnston and Choiniere, respectively. Red Bulls brought on Barlow, Clark, Carmona and Yearwood, to replace Elias Manoel, Luquinhas, Harper and Fernandez.
There were bookings for Piette from MON, and Harper and Cásseres, for Red Bulls.
