Charlotte 0-2 Toronto: The Reds pick up good away win

Charlotte on Sunday lost to Toronto FC on a home defeat. As the table looks today, Charlotte and Phili currently occupy 11th and 10th spots in the league, with 32 points and 33 points respectively after 39 matches.

After a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Phili who started the second half well, with an early goal from Insigne in the 49th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Bernardeschi, at 66 minutes to make it 2-0.

Substitutions for Charlotte included Shinyashiki and Reyna for Kerwin Vargas and Jóźwiak, repectively. Phili brought on Thompson and O’Neill, to replace Kerr and Macnaughton.

The referee booked Fuchs and Jóźwiak for Charlotte.

Charlotte will next travel to Cincinnati, while Phili will face LA Galaxy at home.
