Pachuca 1 – Mazatlán 1: Los Tuzos locked into a draw at home to Cañoneros

Pachuca were held to 1-1 draw by Mazatlán down on Tuesday at Estadio Miguel Hidalgo. Pachuca were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning their previous two games in the competition. The most recent was against the Cruz Azul away (2-1), the other to Querétaro at home (2-0). Mazatlán, on the other hand, lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Tigres UANL. As things stand, Pachuca are in 2nd place, with 7 points from 3 matches, while Mazatlán sit in 16th, with 1 point from 3.

Cañoneros dominated the first half, when Nicolas Benedetti gave Mazatlán the lead just before halftime, finishing the first half 1-0.

Pachuca took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Nicolas Ibanez just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Pachuca included Roberto De La Rosa, Romario Ibarra and Marino Hinestroza for Victor Guzman, Jesus Daniel Hernandez Casiano and Mauricio Isais, repectively.
