ATL 1 – Puebla 1: Los Zorros held at home by Los Camoteros
On Sunday, ATL and Puebla were held to a 1-1 draw at Estadio Jalisco. ATL were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Juárez. Puebla, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As the table looks today, ATL are in 15th place, with 8 points from 10 matches, while Puebla sit in 8th, with 12 points from 10.
Puebla started strongly in the first half, when Martin Barragan found the net in the 11th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Julian Quinones equalised for Los Zorros just before halftime. The score at half time was 1-1. The second 45 minutes ended with little further action at either end and goalless.
Substitutions for ATL included Emanuel Aguilera, Jesus Ocejo, Diego Zaragoza, Edyairth Ortega and Brayan Trejo for Anderson Santamaria, Anibal Chala, Jonathan Herrera, Julio Furch and Edison Flores, repectively. Puebla brought on Amaury Escoto, Ivo Vazquez, Guillermo Martinez and Alberto Herrera, to replace Ivan Moreno, Maximiliano Araujo, Martin Barragan and Jordi Cortizo.
There were bookings for Jonathan Herrera, Angel Marquez and Anderson Santamaria from ATL, and Diego De Buen, Martin Barragan, Gaston Silva and Israel Reyes, for Puebla.
ATL will next play León away, with Puebla facing América at home.
