Wycombe 0-1 Plymouth Argyle: Visitors deliver victory against The Chairboys

Plymouth Argyle enjoyed an away victory against Wycombe at Adams Park on Saturday. Wycombe were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 3-1 to Sheffield Wednesday in their previous fixture. Plymouth Argyle, meanwhile, were coming from a 2-1 win against Ipswich Town. Wycombe are now in 19th place on the table and have 11 points while Plymouth Argyle sit in 1st with 25 points after 12 matches.

Plymouth Argyle started the first half well, thanks to a goal from Sam Cosgrove in the 8th minute, saw out the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.

Both managers used all available substitutions. Substitutions for Wycombe included Adam Leathers, Jack Grimmer, Ali Al-Hamadi and Sullay Kaikai for Daryl Horgan, Christian Forino, Nick Freeman and Garath McCleary, respectively, Plymouth Argyle brought on Danny Mayor and Conor Grant, to replace Finn Azaz and Morgan Whittaker.

The referee booked Dan Scarr for Plymouth Argyle.

Wycombe will next play Oxford United away, with Plymouth Argyle facing Accrington Stanley at home.
