Peterborough United 0-1 Fleetwood Town: The Posh sink to another defeat

Fleetwood Town enjoyed an away victory against Peterborough United at Abax Stadium on Tuesday. Peterborough United were hoping to get something from this game after losing 2-1 to Portsmouth FC in their previous fixture. Fleetwood Town, meanwhile, were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Peterborough United are now in 7th place on the table and have 12 points while Fleetwood Town sit in 12th with 11 points after 9 matches.

Fleetwood Town opened the score, when Josh Vela found the net, 23 minutes in, finishing the first half 1-0. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Substitutions for Peterborough United included Ben Thompson, Josh Knight, Ephron Mason-Clark, Ricky Jade-Jones and Joel Randall for Hector Matthew Kyprianou, Nathan Thompson, Harrison Burrows, Jack Marriott and Kwame Poku, respectively. Fleetwood Town brought on Promise Omochere, Paddy Lane, Harvey Macadam and Joe Garner, to replace Callum Morton, Carlos Mendes Gomes, Daniel Batty and Admiral Muskwe.

There were bookings for Nathan Thompson, Ben Thompson and Jack Taylor from Peterborough United, and Shaun Rooney and Josh Earl, for Fleetwood Town.

Peterborough United will next travel to Bolton Wanderers, while Fleetwood Town will face Charlton Athletic at home.
