Oxford United 0-1 Wycombe: Chairboys snap losing streak

Wycombe Wanderers beat Oxford United with a 1-0 victory on Saturday at Kassam Stadium. Oxford United were on the hunt for more points after a 1-1 draw against Charlton Athletic. Wycombe had lost their previous match against Plymouth Argyle. Oxford United are currently 20th with 11 points from 13 matches, while Wycombe sit in 15th, with 14 points from 13.

Wycombe started the first half well, when Christian Forino found the net, 33 minutes in, saw out the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.

Substitutions for Oxford United included Billy Bodin, Josh Murphy and Tyler Goodhram for James Henry, Kyle Joseph and Sam Long, respectively. Wycombe brought on Nick Freeman, Jack Grimmer, Jasper Pattenden and Tjay De Barr for Dominic Gape, Lewis Wing, Garath McCleary and Anis Mehmeti.

There were bookings for Kyle Joseph and James Henry from Oxford United. For Wycombe, Joe Jacobson, Lewis Wing and Jason McCarthy saw yellow.

Oxford United will next travel to Exeter City, while Wycombe will face Peterborough United at home.
