Ipswich Town 0-1 Lincoln City: Imps secure the points at Portman Road

Lincoln City banked all three points against the Ipswich Town in a 1-0 victory on Saturday, at Portman Road Stadium. Ipswich Town had been hopeful of continuing their good run after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Morecambe FC away (2-1), the other to Cambridge Utd at home (3-0). Lincoln City, meanwhile, had secured a point against Charlton Athletic in their previous match. Ipswich Town and Lincoln City currently occupy 2nd and 13th spots in the table, with 30 points and 17 points respectively after 14 matches.

Lincoln City started the first half well, when Ben House gave them the lead, at 24 minutes, ending the first half 1-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Ipswich Town included Tyreece John-Jules, Kyle Edwards, Kane Vincent-Young, Kayden Jackson and Dominic Ball for Freddie Ladapo, Conor Chaplin, Janoi Donacien, Wes Burns and George Edmundson, respectively. Lincoln City brought on Lasse Sorensen and Jordan Garrick, to replace Daniel Mandroiu and Ben House.

The referee booked Lee Evans for Ipswich Town.

Ipswich Town next face Derby County while Lincoln City are at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
