Valladolid 0 – Cádiz 1: Pucelle lose at home to gaditano

Cádiz’s 1-0 win over Real Valladolid on Friday, was hard fought at José Zorrilla. Both Valladolid and Cádiz came from defeats in their previous league games. Valladolid were hoping to get something from this game after losing 2-1 to Girona in their previous fixture. Cádiz lost 4-0 in their against Barcelona. Valladolid are now in 18th place on the table and have 4 points while Cádiz sit in 19th with 3 points after 6 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Cádiz continued to pile on the pressure in the second period, when Alvaro Negredo gave them the lead just before the full time, sealing a 1-0 victory for the away side.

Substitutions for Valladolid included Ivan Sanchez, Juan Jose Narvaez, Sergio Leon, Mickael Malsa and Sergi Guardiola for Monchu, Oscar Plano, Roque Mesa, Gonzalo Plata and Shon Weissman, respectively. Cádiz brought on Ruben Alcaraz, Jose Mari, Theo Bongonda, Alvaro Negredo and Joseba Zaldua, to replace Brian Ocampo, Fede San Emeterio, Alex, Ivan Alejo and Isaac Carcelén.

There were bookings for Monchu from Valladolid, and Alfonso Espino, Fede San Emeterio, Jose Mari and Joseba Zaldua, for Cádiz.

Valladolid will play away against Getafe, while Cádiz will face Villarreal at home.
