Osasuna 1-0 Espanyol: Budimir seals the home win for Los Rojillos

Osasuna eased past Espanyol in a 1-0 victory on Thursday at the Estadio El Sadar. Osasuna were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 2-0 to Villarreal in their previous fixture. Espanyol, meanwhile, were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Real Valladolid. Osasuna are now in 7th place on the table and have 16 points while Espanyol sit in 16th with 9 points after 10 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Osasuna certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, when Ante Budimir gave them the lead in the 55th minute. They managed to close the match out with a clean sheet and a well-earned of 1-0 victory.

Substitutions for Osasuna included Darko Brasanac, Ezequiel Avila, Jon Moncayola, Juan Cruz and Kike Garcia for Moi Gomez, Ante Budimir, Ruben Garcia, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli and Aimar Oroz, respectively. Espanyol replaced Javi Puado, Edu Exposito, Omar El Hilali, Jose Carlos Lazo and Dani Gomez with Keidi Bare, Aleix Vidal, Fernando Calero, Martin Braithwaite and Vinicius Souza.

There were bookings for David Garcia from Osasuna. For Espanyol, Martin Braithwaite and Fernando Calero saw yellow.

Osasuna will play away against Girona, while Espanyol will face Elche at home.
