Girona 0-1 Celta Vigo: The Sky Blues get valuable away win at Estadi Montilivi

Girona on home loss to Celta Vigo at Estadi Montilivi on Friday. Girona were looking to continue their run after winning last match. Celta lost 4-1 in the last match they played against R Madrid. After today’s result, Girona and Celta are 10th, (3 points) and 8th, (4 points), in the table respectively, after 3 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Celta certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, with an early goal from Iago Aspas in the 49th minute so at full time it was 1-0 to Celta.

Substitutions for Girona included Ramon Terrats, Reinier, Samuel Saiz, Joel Roca and Javier Hernandez for Yangel Herrera, Oscar Urena Garci, Ramon Terrats, Valentin Castellanos and Miguel Gutierrez, repectively. Celta brought on Augusto Solari, Gabriel Veiga, Goncalo Paciencia and Carlos Dominguez, to replace Carles Perez, Renato Tapia, Oscar and Franco Cervi.

There were bookings for David Lopez and Juanpe from Girona. For Celta, Renato Tapia saw yellow.

Girona will next travel to Mallorca, while Celta will face Cádiz at home.
