Elche 0 – RMA 3: Los Blancos take 3 at Estadio Martínez Valero without reply

R Madrid delivered a resounding 3-0 victory against Elche on Wednesday, at Estadio Martínez Valero. Elche arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a 2-2 draw against Valencia while RMA were coming from consecutive wins against Barcelona and Getafe. Elche are now in 20th place, with 3 points from 10 matches, while RMA sit in 1st, with 28 points from 10.

RMA found the net first, when Federico Valverde opened the rout on the 11 minute mark, concluding the first half 1-0.

RMA continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Karim Benzema found the net, 75 minutes in. Los Blancos then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Marco Asensio just before the full time to give a final score of 3-0.

Substitutions for Elche included Gerard Gumbau, Josan, Ezequiel Ponce and Domingos Quina for Nicolas Ezequiel Fernandez Mercau, Pere Milla, Lucas Boye and Tete Morente, respectively. RMA replaced Aurelien Tchouameni, Marco Asensio, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez and Alvaro Odriozola with Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Vinicius Junior, Dani Carvajal and David Alaba.

There were bookings for Gerard Gumbau from Elche. For RMA, Antonio Rudiger saw yellow.

Elche will next play Espanyol away, with RMA facing Seville at home.
