Freiburg 1-1 Olympiacos: Breisgau Brazilians frustrated at home as visitors draw
Freiburg were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Olympiacos on Thursday at Europa-Park-Stadion. Freiburg were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against Nantes away and Nantes at home, by 4-0 and 2-0 respectively. Olympiacos were unable to beat Qarabag FK in a 0-0 draw. Freiburg are now in 1st place on the table and have 13 points while Olympiacos sit in 4th with 2 points after 5 matches.
Olympiacos started the match strongly, when Youssef El Arabi gave them the lead, 17 minutes in, saw the first half 1-0.
Breisgau Brazilians took the lead in the second half, when Lukas Kubler found the net just before the full time. The match ended wih a 1-1 draw.
Substitutions for Freiburg included Maximilian Eggestein, Noah Weisshaupt, Woo-yeong Jeong, Nils Petersen and Kiliann Sildillia for Yannik Keitel, Ritsu Doan, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, Michael Gregoritsch and Philipp Lienhart, respectively. The referee booked Matthias Ginter from Freiburg. Olympiacos had the worst of it though, with Yann M’Vila, Giorgos Masouras, Youssef El Arabi, Alexandros Paschalakis, Pierre Kunde and Ousseynou Ba seeing yellow, and Ousseynou Ba (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.
