Bristol City strolled past West Bromwich Albion with a 2-0 win on Tuesday at The Hawthorns. West Brom were keen to hang onto their position at the top of the table and extend their winning run after winning last match. Bristol were beaten 2-1 in their previous match against Millwall. West Brom are currently 20th with 14 points from 16 matches, while Bristol sit in 11th, with 21 points from 16.

Bristol started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Joe Williams gave them the lead on the 33 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Nahki Wells made it 2-0 just before half-time, finishing the first half 2-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 2-0.

Substitutions for West Brom included Jayson Molumby, Reyes Cleary, Tom Rogic and John Swift for Jake Livermore, Grady Diangana, Matthew Phillips and Taylor Gardner-Hickman, respectively. Bristol brought on Andreas Weimann, Chris Martin, Andy King, Tommy Conway and Tomas Kalas, to replace Joe Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Matty James, Nahki Wells and Mark Sykes.

There were bookings for Jake Livermore, Martin Kelly and Dara O’Shea from West Brom. For Bristol, Mark Sykes saw yellow.

Bristol and West Brom will next play away to Reading and Millwall respectively.
