Sunderland 0-0 Blackpool: Goalless draw leaves both teams frustrated

On Tuesday, Sunderland AFC and Blackpool played out a 0-0 draw at Stadium of Light. Sunderland AFC arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a scoreless draw against Preston North End in their previous match. Blackpool had lost their previous match against Norwich City. Sunderland AFC and Blackpool sit 7th, (17 points) and 19th, (12 points), in the table respectively, after 13 matches.

Substitutions for Sunderland AFC included Jewison Bennette, Dan Neill, Abdoullah Ba, Edouard Michut and Leon Dajaku for Amad Traore, Corry Evans, Elliot Embleton, Alex Pritchard and Patrick Roberts, respectively. Blackpool brought on Theodor Corbeanu and Ian Poveda for Shayne Lavery and Gary Madine.

There were bookings for Edouard Michut from Sunderland AFC, and Charlie Patino, Jordan Thorniley and Kenny Dougall, for Blackpool.

Sunderland AFC will next play Swansea City away, with Blackpool facing Watford at home.
