Rotherham 3-0 Blackpool: The Millers impress again with big win over Tangerines
Blackpool on away loss to Rotherham at the AESSEAL New York Stadium on Wednesday. Rotherham were on the hunt for more points after a 1-1 draw against Watford whilst Blackpool were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Huddersfield Town. Rotherham and Blackpool currently occupy 7th and 15th spots in the table, with 13 points and 11 points respectively after 10 matches.
Rotherham started the first half well, when Chiedozie Ogbene opened the rout, at 34 minutes, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.
The Millers continued to pile on the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, with a goal from Wes Harding on the 82 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Wes Harding made it 3-0 just before the final whistle to make it 3-0.
Substitutions for Rotherham included Tolaji Bola, Georgie Kelly, Scott High and Cameron Humphreys for Cohen Bramall, Conor Washington, Oliver Rathbone and Brooke Norton-Cuffy, respectively. Blackpool brought on Shayne Lavery, Charlie Patino, Sonny Carey and Callum Wright, to replace Ian Poveda, Callum Connolly, Kenny Dougall and Rhys Williams.
There were bookings for Oliver Rathbone from Rotherham, and Jordan Thorniley, for Blackpool.
