Cardiff 1-0 Birmingham: The Bluebirds beat Blues at the Cardiff City Stadium

Cardiff City beated Birmingham City 1-0 on Saturday at the Cardiff City Stadium. Cardiff were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last match 2-1 to Reading. Birmingham were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-1 win against Huddersfield Town in their last match. As the table looks today, Cardiff are in 3rd place, with 6 points from 3 matches, while Birmingham sit in 6th, with 4 points from 3.

Cardiff started well, with a goal from Jaden Philogene-Bidace, at 17 minutes, finishing the first half 1-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Cardiff included Mark Thomas Harris, Rubin Colwill, Kion Etete and Sheyi Ojo for Max Watters, Romaine Sawyers, Jaden Philogene-Bidace and Callum O’Dowda, repectively. Birmingham brought on Josh Williams, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Jonathan Leko and George Hall, to replace Marc Roberts, Troy Deeney, Juninho Bacuna and Alfie Chang.
