Blackburn 1-0 Huddersfield: Rovers see visitors off at Ewood Park

Huddersfield Town fell to an away defeat at the hands of Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. Both Blackburn and Huddersfield came from defeats in their previous league games. Blackburn were looking forward to playing again after losing their last match 1-0 to Coventry City. Huddersfield had lost their previous match against Sunderland AFC. Blackburn are now in 2nd place on the table and have 36 points while Huddersfield sit in 24th with 15 points after 20 matches.

Blackburn started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Ben Brereton gave them the lead, 35 minutes in. They then managed to see out the first half 1-0. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.

Substitutions for Blackburn included Scott Wharton, Tyrhys Dolan and Jack Vale for Sam Gallagher, Ryan Hedges and Sammie Szmodics, respectively. Huddersfield brought on Brahima Diarra and Jordan Rhodes, to replace Etiene Camara and Danny Ward.

The referee booked Jack Rudoni, Etiene Camara and David Kasumu for Huddersfield.

Blackburn will next travel to Burnley, while Huddersfield will face Swansea City at home.
