São Paulo 0-1 Fortaleza: Tricolor make it five wins in a row
Fortaleza EC strolled past São Paulo with a 1-0 win on Sunday at Morumbí. São Paulo were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last match 1-0 to Santos FC. Fortaleza were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Corinthians and Ceará. As it stands, São Paulo and Fortaleza are 12th, (29 points) and 13th, (27 points), in the league respectively, after 24 matches.
Fortaleza started strongly in the first half, when Juninho Capixaba found the net, 32 minutes in, concluding the first half 1-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.
Substitutions for São Paulo included Luciano, Reinaldo, Patrick, Alisson and Igor Gomes for Maycon Nikao, Welington, Giuliano Galoppo, Pablo Maia and Nahuel Ferraresi, repectively. Fortaleza brought on Hercules Pereira Do Nascimento, Tinga, Romarinho and Matheus de Vargas, to replace Thiago Galhardo, Ronald, Moises Vieira da Veiga and Robson.
