Juventude 1-1 Avai: Bottom-side avoid home defeat

On Saturday, Juve and Avai played out a 1-1 draw at Alfredo Jaconi. Both sides came from defeats in their previous league games. Juve were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 4-0 to Internacional. Avai were beaten 1-0 in their previous match against Coritiba. Juve and Avai currently occupy 20th and 18th spots in the league, with 18 points and 24 points respectively after 25 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Avai fought back the second half, thanks to a goal from Bissoli in the 59th minute. In the end though, their lead was short-lived, as Chico equalised for Juve in the 70th minute, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Juve included Bruno Nazario, Thalisson Da Silva, Ruan Pereira Duarte, Jadson and Weliton Santos do Amaral for Guilherme Parede, Vitor Mendes, Oscar Ruiz, Elton and Chico, respectively. Avai brought on Paolo Guerrero, Jean Pyerre, Muriqui, Jean Cleber and Marcinho, to replace Bissoli, Matheus Galdezani, Rodrigo, Sarara and William Pottker.
