Internacional 4-0 Juventude: Anothday bad day for Juve

Internacional strolled past Juventude with a 4-0 win on Tuesday at Estadio Beira-Rio. Internacional were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games in the competition. The most recent was against the Avai away (1-0), the other to Fluminense at home (3-0). Juve secured a point against Botafogo in their previous match. As it stands, Internacional are currently 4th with 42 points from 24 matches, while Juve sit in 20th, with 17 points from 24.

The first half of the match started favourably for Internacional, when Johnny opened the rout, 38 minutes in. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Wanderson just before halftime, finishing the first half 2-0.

Internacional started the second half with renewed vigour, with an early second effort from Johnny in the 48th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a penalty goal from Edenilson just before the final whistle with a final score of 4-0.

Substitutions for Internacional included Edenilson, Alan Patrick, Pedro Henrique, Taison and Braian Romero for Johnny, Mauricio, Carlos De Pena, Wanderson and Alemao, repectively. Juve brought on Guilherme Parede, Chico, Luis Felipe Rebelo Costa, Rafinha and Oscar Ruiz for Paulo Henrique, Bruno Nazario, Elton, Jadson and Felipe Pires.

The referee booked Felipe Pires, Nogueira and Jose Guilherme Guidolin Pegorari for Juve.

Internacional will next play Corinthians away, with Juve facing Avai at home.
