Mineiro 0-1 Goiás: Raul goals banks three points for Verdão
Goiás EC eased past Atl. Mineiro in a 1-0 victory on Saturday at Governador Magalhaes Pinto. Mineiro were looking to continue their run after winning last match whilst Goiás had managed to pick up a single point in their matchup with Avai. After today’s result, Mineiro and Goiás currently occupy 7th and 11th spots in the table, with 35 points and 29 points respectively after 23 matches.
After an uneventful first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Goiás who started the second half well, when Pedro Raul gave Goiás the lead, at 51 minutes. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 1-0 to Goiás.
